Leg Extension and Squeeze

Equipment Needed

Machine

Starting Position

Sit on the seat and hook your feet under the padded lever with a small beach ball between your knees.

Procedure

  1. Extend your legs upward, squeezing the beach ball with your inner thighs.
  2. Lower the weight slowly until your feet are no further back than the knees and the thighs are stretched.
  3. Repeat for the suggested number of repetitions.

Coaching Keys

  • Don't lift your hips off the seat and cheat the weight up.
  • As you extend your leg contract the abdominal muscles.

You Should Feel it...

In your inner and overall upper thighs.

Exercise Purpose

Improves quadriceps strength. This helps increase skiing stability and the ability to hold an edge.
