BOSU Single Leg Balance

Equipment Needed

BOSU

Starting Position

Standing Beside BOSU

Procedure

  1. Make sure BOSU is blue side up.
  2. Step on to the BOSU with both feet.
  3. Get your balance.
  4. Center one foot on the BOSU and lift the other foot into the air.
  5. Stabilize for suggested amount of time.
  6. Repeat with other side.

Coaching Keys

  • Get your balance before standing on one leg.
  • Keep abdominals tight.
  • Keep a slight bend to your knee.

You Should Feel it...

In your ankles, calves, abdominals, thighs.

Exercise Purpose

Improves your ability to maintain balance while on the slopes.
